May be this is the last time....?!?

Hi all of my beautiful viewers,

I finally have the time to sit down and think about my blog. I am truly sorry for neglecting my blog in the past couple months. I just have been very busy with school, family, and work, so extra activities became so limited for me. Today, I have the time to really think about my decision and so I am writing this to explain it to you. I believe I have not tell you guys the news and I will, and the news will somewhat explain why I am writing this.

If you guys read my profile " About me", you guys know that I am just a college student majoring in Nursing and hoping to get a B.S Register Nurse. Well, my school is one of the hardest Nursing school in the state. All students have to apply to the Nursing program to be able to study for Nursing. Many of my friends quit early or they switched to another major when they were taking prerequisites before applying to the program. For me, I was stubborn, I felt that I had no choice and I continued to do it even when I knew it will be the hard road to walk on or there are chances that I will not get into the program at all. While taking all the prerequisites, all I worried about was the chances for getting into the program. The program is impacted and every semester, it only accepts 60-65 students into the program out of may be up to nearly 200 applications. What even worse is because of high standard requirements, there are chances that students might not eligible to even apply to the program even though they have taken all the prerequisite classes for Nursing. Well, the road to reach to the application process has been a very rough road for me. I was delayed many times, but I keep trying hard to reach the goal that I want. Well, it took me long enough because the week before Thanksgiving, I received the acceptance letter from the Nursing program!!!! It was the best moment in my life. I never ever thought that I would make it this far. And never before I feel so proud of myself. To many people, they think that it is not a big success, but despite all those negative comments I said to myself that I did it!! Now I feel that it is a new beginning for me, the road to become an RN is near but far, it is hard, but doable, and it is crazy, but worth it!!! I now need to completely setting my mind into the career for my life. I need to make sure to avoid the mistakes that I made and stay away from many to come. Yes, it will take me longer to get the degree, but I believe that it's never too late at all.

Because of the good news, it makes my holiday even more special. Never in my life I feel free and light. However, there are so many things that I need to take care for as I am starting the program. In the last blog post, I promised with you guys that I will do major blogging as I get off for my winter break, but there were so much going on, I just could not. I am really sorry and million times sorry for breaking all those promises. Please understand and accept my apology. I have all products to do what I promised, but I never have the time to take pictures and editing post and writing them. Now in this letter, I would like to tell you guys that I will not be able to continue blogging anymore. I don't want to make this an official good bye because I never know if it will be the forever and ever good bye to you guys. I treasure everyone of you and treasure the support that you guys have been giving me. I don't really want to say official good bye when I might come back to blog on some free time I have over the next holidays or coming up summer days. I am also writing this because right now I am struggling with money for Nursing. Therefore, I will not be able to do updates for you guys until when I have enough.

This might be the last post in a very long time, so I just want to again thanks my bellas and gurus for encouraging me to do what I like. I love what I have done so far on this blog, and I am always learning new things to improve my posts. Even though I have so little followers, I still love everyone of you guys and thank you for sticking with me all of this time. I wish you all the best, may things that you want may go as well as you wish, and hoping you will always reach the goals that you have in life.

Hey Bellas,

I want to do a very very quick post to tell you guys what I spotted at Walgreens for the last couple of days. I went to Walgreens to take the advantage of 50% off Wet n' Wild Cosmetic which you guys should b/c it ends today.

I was surprised that two of the Walgreens I went to are beggining to display a lot of holiday gift sets. Ranging from $10+ with variety of beauty products. What I found that is so interesting is Profusion cosmetic products are now available at Walgreens. I have heard of this brand once or twice, and know that it is available to buy on cherryculture.com. I also have heard that some people have spotted Profusion at their local Walgreens recently. However, I have not seen it at all until a couple days ago. I have two pics that I quickly snap before the security come by, so I am sorry if it is really blurry. The only thing I know about this cosmetic line is it has very cheap prices. I have not try them before, so I don't know its quality. However, I am hoping to try it soon.

Well, also, I am sorry because I could not took some pics for The Color Workshop products. I was not really interesting in them because I have some old eye shadows from the Color Workshop and I do not like them. I actually never seen TCW any where in drugstores before, but I might be wrong. This is the first time I seen it at Walgreens. I actually do not know where to buy it before now. I got those old ones as a gift. Anyways, TCW are sold as gift sets also. The price starting at $2.99. Their gift set includes eyes and face makeup, and also nail polishes. If you guys decide to buy any, please comment below.

I have no idea if this two brands are only available as Holiday Limited Edition or not, so any of you friends should snatch it if it called out to you. hee hee. For me, I need to get some money in before I can spend on any..

Hey everyone,

I know that Halloween has already past, but I thought that it would be cool to share some pictures of the costume that I made for my sisters. This year is her last Halloween year for trick or treating, though, I think that she has past that age a long time ago. However, since this is her last year of high school, I thought that I should help her make it the best year of her life. I want her to have fun because I did not get to have fun on my senior year of HS.

Well, this year I made the Wilma Flintstones costume with my sister's help, of course. I don't know if any still remember that cartoon, I actually live past it and can only remember how the Flintstones look like. I never seen the real episode before. Both of us was super busy the week of Halloween, so this was very last minute. We did everything by hand since we do not have a sewing machine. I thought that the costume turned out well. People did recognized her as Wilma (Asian version I guess). It was easy to make (though we did came across some difficulties). Hope you guys like it. I should take the picture of the hair I did for her,but her hair is too black, it was hard to see the details.

Hi everyone,

I am so sorry that I have been slacking from blogging. I just have been really busy with school. Every week I have things that are due, and sometimes there are more than 2 things that are due in the same day. I just been going crazy lately. hee hee

I am so sorry that I should do something special for Halloween. I did make my mom turn into a cat, well, just semi cat like. I just draw some face makeup on her, and she put on a pattern dress and wear the cat ears with a tail. There is a competition at her workplace today. Though I doubt that her makeup will last since she is a dental assistant, wearing mask and working with patients would not make the makeup last long. Hope she won't turn into a monster by the end of the day. Hahhaha. I would show you guys the picture, but we were running late. So sorry guys.

This year I dress my sister up for Toga day at her school. Sadly, I don't have any picture at all that is good quality.

Although that I don't have any tutorials for anything related to Halloween, would you guys like to see tutorials from other gurus on Youtube? I have been into Greek costume lately, so I thought of some perfect videos below for those of you who wants last minute costume, makeup, and hair. Enjoy!!!!

All Lip Products reviews and swatches!!

Now, let moves onto all of the lip products I purchased recently. First, I am sorry that I could not swatch the lip color on my lips because my lips are always dry, the picture just make them look worse. I use my hand, so hope it helps.

First: N.Y.C Liquid Lip Shine
I am so sorry, but I am not opening the one in the package which is Ice Orchid.

These lip shine is like lip glosses more than liquid lipstick, but they are great bargain finds. I love the bottle. The application is sponge tip. Bottles made of cheaper plastic, but definitely durable.

(L) Iced Orchid # 555B; (R) Dusty Rose #549

Middle is Dusty Rose (retail $1.99, sale $.50), the bottom is Wet n' Wild Pink Ice (retail $.99, sale $.65)

Pros:

Smell so yummy, like caramel vanillaish.

Love the thick consistency, just a touch of stickiness.

Dusty Rose have coral micro glitter in it, such a lovely corally pink

Goes smoothly on lips

Very shiny on lips, a bit more on the sheer side, but still pigmented.

Great on nude lipstick

Ok- moisturizing

Cons:

For cheap lip glosses, it is obviously not long lasting. But if you do not eat and speak a lot, then it stay on great.

Name is not on the bottle, I totally have to fish out the outside packaging from the trash can to find the name of it. However, they print the number on the bottle.

Overall, I never notice these Liquid Lip Shine before, I absolutely love this product. Even for $1.99, I would definitely go back and repurchase this.

For Wet n' Wild in Pink Ice:

Pink Ice # 528 A (retail $.99, sale $.65)

I think this lipstick is very interesting. You can see the pic above is a very bright pink because it is taken with flash. On the packaging, the color is actually pinky nude. On the actual product, it is darker pink with a touch magenta undertone. I love it no matter what.

Please refer to the swatches above. It is the true color.

Pros:

Pigmented

Very shiny, not matt at all

Super soft and goes on smoothly

Consistency almost like a lip balm

Stay moisturizing and lasting for about 2-3 hour.

Cheap

Cons:

Cheap packaging, the tube is flimsy, made with cheap plastic.

Eventhough it is too easy to twist out the product, the cap actually lock it to prevent it from being dented by the cap.

Not the color on the package or what we see.

Name not on the package, why? You can print the number, but not the name?

Overall? I love it. Not because of the price, but because of the product quality. I am looking forward to try out other colors that they have. They have great range of shade. Right now, on sale at Walgreens for $.49.

Now, Nivea Lip Balm

(L-R) A Kiss of Milk and Honey Natural Defense and Soothing Lip care, A Kiss of Smoothness Hydrating Lip Care SPF 4, A Kiss of Flavor Strawberry Tinted Lip Care SPF 4. 0.17 oz (retail $?, sale $1)

Pros:

Excellent flavor, strawberry is yummy, the other two is just vanilla smell (honey does have a faint honey smell)

Condition your lips

Long lasting on lip and does not dry up your lips after hours

Glide on smoothly

The strawberry goes on tinted like a sheer gloss, others are just sheer

Easy to twist

Bigger than ordinary Chapstick tube

Cons:

Nothing...Does what the lip balm does

Overall, I found that I reach for this lip balm more often. I just cannot put it down. I love the strawberry one! Get these while it is on sale. I actually notice that I do not see it at all in Walgreen until this sale. Odd? May be I do not look around as much. I found two of them today at a bottom shelf in a big jar. I had to walk around the cosmetic section 2-3x to find them all.

EOS Lip Balm

Honeysuckle Honeydew 0.25 oz (retail $3.99, sale: Free)

Isn't this just a little adorable thing? I just absolutely love the way they package this. It just like an egg. I have nothing for cons, so I will just describe to you the product quality. This lip balm is made with 100% natural product and 95% organic. Made with shea butter and jojoba oil. The product is hard so it seem like you are not using any product from it. It just glide on smoothly on the lips. It does not have that usual texture that you get with ordinary lip balm. It make your lips smooth, but does not have the oily texture on the lips. They have three flavors which are: Lemon Drop, Summer Fruit, and the one above. One thing I actually do not like is it kinda has to deal with sanitation. If you open up the product, all products will be expose to germ in the air and you twisting the cap back on, you are holding the bacteria in it. I am not a crazy health freak, so I'm not worry. However, it is something to be conscious about. I would love to try out the other flavors. These are just so cute. I cannot stop looking at it. At Walgreen, you can buy 3 of those flavors for $9.99.

Last but not least, Wet n' Wild New Lip Stick in Think Pink (retail $2.99, sale $1.49)

The color above is the true color of the product. The Lipstick is pink to almost pinky nude. I thought I am going to love it, but I actually surprised at the color when it goes on my lips.

Pros:

Pigmented, nicely pinky nude

Goes on smoothly

Creamy

Matt finish

Long lasting

Condition your lips

Have variety of shades

Cheap for great quality

Cons:

I don't like it on my lip, it just totally make my lips pale pink (I am just not use to nude lips)

Does not look like what it offered

Name is not on the tube

Need to add gloss for glossy and less pale color.

Overall, I like it for the quality, but the color is a disappointment. However, I can play around with different color of glosses or mix with another lipstick color. I actually like Dusty Rose on top of this.

Wet n' Wild Nail Polish and Eyeliner

As I said, I will be reviewing and putting swatches of the Wet n' Wild nail polish and eyeliner. So let's start:

Wet n' Wild Wild Shine in Fireworks at Rite Aid ( retail $.99, sale $.65)

This polish is chunky golden glitter. It has not only glitter, but it also has chunky circular flecks. I think it is really pretty. I could not decide between this and Champagne. Champagne is a very pretty shade between gold and bronze, I don't know why I could not put down the gold though. I was kinda disappointed when I swatch Fireworks at home. However, I still think it is such a nice color. This is part of their limited edition Wild Shine collection. I have no idea if it will discontinue or not, however, check out your local Rite Aid to get your hands on all of the shades. I love them all, but I just need one.

One coat on three fingers with a purple base (with flash)

2 coats with purple base (no flash) Hate it :P

Pros:

Chunky glitter (+); (-)

Big brush

Dry fast 1-2 min

Stay on strong, long lasting

Great alone without a color base

2-3 coats are enough

Cons:

Hate chunky glitter? Then this is NOT for you. I don't really like it either.

Very ugly looking with color base, may be a lighter base with similar shade.

Hard to clean.

Those flecks is semi-useless, can be ugly with 2-3 coats.

Overall, I like it and hate it. I will probably try to avoid those flecks if I use it for nail art. But use it alone, I still think it great for some occasion. I hate chunky glitter because it take a bit more effort to clean. However, this is great. And with that price, it is too hard to resist.

Now, onto the white eyeliner....I have been looking for a white eyeliner that are soft and long lasting, but I haven't found one until this Wet n' Wild white eyeliner pencil. Sorry for not taking the pencil picture alone, but it is just an ordinary eyeliner pencil in white. The swatches above is a little bit ugly, but it just show you the quality of it.

Pros:

Actually quiet soft

Pigmented

Glide on easier than others cheap liners like N.Y.C

Can stay on waterline to help make our eyes look more awake

Act as a good base eyeshadow

Highlight underneath the brow bone and inner corner of the eyes.

Cheap (retail $.99 , sale $.65)

Cons:

Not necessarily long lasting because it not that easy to blend, the consistency is too waxy. So it just stick on

Stay on waterline, but goes on kinda sheer

If you over blend, it will just disappear.

Cause a tiny bit of irritation if trying to blend on the waterline.

Overall, I like it better than the ones I tried before. My cousin own one from N.Y.C and it does not work on waterline. I am not that satisfied, but it is not bad. I want to find a cheap white eyeliner pencil, but I guess, it is not possible. Still on the mission to find one. I know Jordana also have white eyeliner, but I believe I swatch it once and it is not soft.

Shop til U Drop! : Rite Aid

I did a recent post about the sale from Rite Aid, but I just haven't had the time to post some picture about the items that I bought.

So here it is...

I bought four items from N.Y.C and Wet N' Wild.

Remember that I told you WnW $.99 products were 3 for $1.95? So I ended up getting the white eyeliner, the nail polish, and that lipstick (swatches and review soon).

The nail polish is from their new wild shine collection. Everything from this collection is glittery and sparkle, I love all, but I just want gold nail polish because I haven't had one in my collection. I should have got another one, but man I am having too much nail polishes and I barely paint my nails. Hee hee.

Also, that week, N.Y.C were BOGO Free. For some people, they also had a coupon in All You magazine from the manufacturer for BOGO. That would make your two products free. Cool, isn't it? I did not have that coupon, but I did print out a $1 off coupon for any N.Y.C products two months ago. I still got both of the glosses for just $.99. Still a crazy bargain right?

Shop til U Drop! : Walgreen

Hi everyone,

From now on, I will use "Shop til U Drop" as a title for all of my recent shopping trip hauls. It is just something new & if you guys can find any name for this post, please comment below and I will change it up a bit.

Well, today and on Tuesday, I went to Walgreen because there were awesome sale on three lip products. You guys still can get in on this sale and I will tell you guys in a minute. First, I want to thank you Nouveau Cheap for mentioning my blog on her post. Thank you for your support!!! Secondly, if you guys check my sidebar on the "Beauty Related", I have link three of my favorite blogs there to help you bellas get in on beauty sale and cheap beauty products.

Now let's get on with my haul... so the sale for Walgreen this week is $1 Nivea lip balm and EOS lip balm for free.
Here is how it works:
1. Nivea is on sale for $1 and there were a $1 off coupon in last Sunday newspaper. This will let you get it for free. I did not have this coupon because my family only watch news, not reading newspapers. I would buy a newspaper, but it's ok...
2. So for EOS lip balms, they are on sale for $3 and when you buy one, Walgreen will give you back a $3 coupon (Register Reward) to use. So technically, it is FREE!! I have been dying to try out this lip balm because it is super duper cute.

Now what I did is, I bought the EOS lip balm with one Nivea lip balm on Tuesday and I only have to pay around $4 and they print out a $3 coupon for me. Today, I went to Walgreen again to use that coupon because it will be expired on 10/18. I already checked the sale for next week on Make-Up on the Cheap at Walgreen and nothing seem interesting to me.

For today, I bought two more Nivea lip balms and because some Wet n' Wild products were 50%off, I decided to buy their new line of lipstick for just $1.49. Now, what I would like to do is use my $3 to buy another EOS lip blam, but I don't know whether or not they will give me back another $3. Hmm. That would be crazily cool, but I really doubt they let you do that. So that is why I bought those items today.

I cannot defense myself....

I am so tired of always get yelled at. I am an adult, but I constantly feel like a kid. I am so tired of them always yelling at me. They do not understand me at all and I am not even a bad kid. I listen to them all the time, I never do anything without their permission, and I always do what they want me to do. But once in a while, I just too tired of them. I don't understand why they do not understand me me me me.

I cannot defense myself at all, none of them are on my side. One will just add on with the other to push me and push me. It is not fair, not fair, not fair!!!!! My GOD they got to STOP being like that. Just little things that they push it to make it a major problem. I cannot defense myself because I am not allowed to talk back. I just could not explain to myself because they don't listen.

Just a while ago, I help doing house chores and one of them come home yell at me. She told me why I am being lazy and don't do anything in the house. I just did it, but she don't accept what I did. I don't understand, what does she want? Does she want me to video tape what I did to prove that I did it? Do I have to brag about it? I am not a bad person, I tried to do nice things, to help out, but all I received is bad words coming back to me. All I receive is nothing but scolds, swears toward me. I don't understand, what do you want from me? I don't understand. And then, another one come home and decided to add on to my misery. All he can say is " YOU DON'T DO Anything in this HOUSE? What do you mean that " I DON'T"? I don't get it, do I have to tell you every little thing I did to prove it to you? I AM NOT like that!! I am not that kind of person. I cannot just tell them what I did and I cannot defense myself. Why is life being so unfair to me? Bad luck come to me all the time and I am so tire of it. They keep thinking I am not being responsible. WHAT ARE YOU TALKING About? I am too tire of it. I DID what you want, and no one appreciate it. And then they told me that I never understand how hard they have to work to support me? What are you talking about? I tried to help out but I don't get it. They told me that I got to think about my action, but they never think about what I did. I don't understand it, I am not telling them that they should appreciate what I do, all I want them to do is please understand that I want to help them. They don't SEEEEE it!!!! Why are they always being unfair to me? I always and constantly LOVE THEM....I want to pay back what they did, but all they see is nothing nothing from me. What do I do? L.A. Colors-Color Craze Polishes

Hi my lovely friend,

I just discovered L.A. Colors Color Craze not long ago. I heard about this from a guru, and I spotted them at my local Dollar Tree. I actually have to say that this is a hit and miss for DT shopper. You have to be persistent to watch out for these nail polishes. They can easily be out of stock. However, I do know that they have been on shelf for couple of times now.

So lets get started.....

2coats

I am so sorry for the blurry picture. This is a beautiful royal blue nail polish with a hint of shimmery. I love love love this blue. I would never think of wearing blue nail polish, but I just cannot skip this color when I see it in store.
Pros:
_Lovely blue with with iridescent effect. Not shown unless light shine on it.
_Not streaky at all.
_The length of the brush is short so there is more precision.
_Amazingly fast drying for each coat
_2 coats are pretty enough
_Long lasting with topcoat
Cons:
_So far nothing, except I find that the cap is kind bulky for easier grip on.

1coat

This silver is the first one I bought because I just need a silver polish.

Pros:

_So pretty iridescent silver, not chunky glitter

_1 coats can do the job

_Long lasting

_Dry super quick

_Not streaky at all

Cons:

_HMM?

1 coat

I super love Electrified. I am so sorry that the flash picture shown the wrong color of this polish. It is not reddish tone, this is a pinkish magenta iridescent color.

Pros:

_Not creamy formula, and not sheer either

_It just need one coat, that is all, it show the exact color on the bottle

_Last long

_Not streaky

Cons:

HMM?

I truly love this product. I could not believe that L.A. Colors have such good formula for their polishes. I believe that they have a very wide range of colors for this line. They do have regular line, but I have not try them yet. The sad thing is DT does not carry that much shades. They are very limited. I should just snatch up all of the color they have, but I think I will have to gone on a hungry strike after that. hee hee. However, if you like to buy them, you can also find them at Cherry Culture.

Wet N' Wild Polishes Review

Hi my bellas,

I want to do a quick review of the great Wet N' Wild-Wild Shine Nail Color. I bought all of the Wet n' Wild nail polishes when they were on sale for just $.79 at Waggs. I could just not pass up the opportunity, I don't think there is a lot of time that you can find cheap nail polishes right?
So let's get on to the review and swatches first:

1 coat

I do not wear black polish, but I decided to just buy one for nail art. And this is crazy crazy black.

Pros:

_Truly black

_One coats does the job

_Dry 1-2min

_No staining at all if there is a base coat

_Not streaky, the picture with flash kinda ruin it. hee hee

Cons:

_Not that long lasting (easy to notice when chip off, but pretty much for all dark polishes)

_With topcoat, it smudges. So not that ideal for nail art. Actually, I notice that with all black polishes, they tend to smudge when you apply top coat. I tried a design on my cousin, and she did not apply top coat until 8 h after and it still smudges. So it either just depend on some polishes or depend on the good topcoat.

3 coats

I love Rain Check. This is a very pretty lilac with a blueish undertone. If you apply for the 3rd coat, you will get that blueish color.

Pros:

_Very unique, iridescent color

_Dry 1-2min

_Cheap

_Last long with topcoat

_Not streaky at all, the brush is just the right side

_Shimmery but not chunky glitter

Cons:

_Not that opaque, but not that sheer (this one cannot act as a a shimmery topcoat, can add a base to show its color)

2coats

I actually think Sunny Side Up is just a fun crazy pop of orange. I love the color, but I am not brave enough to actually wear the whole set. I bought this again for nail art only.

Pros:

_Semi creamy

_Only need 2 coats and the color just pop

_Long lasting with topcoat

_Dry 1-2min

_Cheap

_Not streaky

Cons:

_Nothing actually, I think it does it job

2 coats

I like Sparked because I can use this for several ways (wearing it original way or doing nail art). But this is not my typical nail polishes. I hate chunky glitter nail polishes because it just take a bit more effort to clean.

Pros:

_Very fast drying

_Two coats can cover enough surface

_Evenly distribute glitter

_Obviously not streaky

_Cheap

_Long lasting, might not need top coats

_Brush is bigger

_Can use for different designs of nail

Cons:

_Hard to clean

Overall?

My first nail polishes were Wet n' Wild, so I just loving it more. They have great quality for just a low everyday price. You can find these nail polishes in most drugstores. However, this line does not carry wide range of color, some new color are hard to find. Their color is not that unique. Although this line is just the ordinary, they also have two other lines of nail polishes that a bit more expensive, but I believe with better quality. I have not try it, so I have nothing much to say. I think for such wonderful polishes, they do not get much recognition from others.

Tips: For easy removal of the chunky glitter, pour some polish remover in the cap, dip your fingers in it for a few minute, damp your cotton, and you will be able to remove most of the polish in one swipe.

Here is my review and swatches for SinfulColors Nail Polishes

First Up, my favorite, which is Purple Diamond.

apply with 3 coats

(I am so sorry that the swatches does not show it true color, the pic above is the right color for this)
I love this a lot because purple is my favorite color. The moment I catch my eyes on it I totally snatch it. I could not walk away because it is so pretty. It just keep calling on me, serious I was just lingering at the section for 10 min.
Pros:
_ Want to warn you, this is a sheer translucent polish, can be a good or bad ( Add a white base to make the color pop, can act as a shimmering top coat, 3 coats can give out its true color as seen on bottle)
_ It is not chunky glitter, iridescent
_ Not streaky at all
_Brush is just a bit thicker and wider
_Big bottle for just a cheap price
Cons:
_ Sheer
_Need 3-4 coats to get the true color
_I find this dry a bit slower than other SinfulColors polishes.

2 coats

This color is not white, it is a very very light pink. Can be use as French tips if you want to, but I am not that disappointed seeing it as nearly white.

Pros:

_ Dry 1-2 min

_Long lasting with a good topcoat

_Very creamy formula

_Need only 2 coats to get the true color

_Cheap find

Cons:

_I guess I might as well buy white, hahha

_Can be streaky as first, but when dried it will not

_Need to know how to apply, can be uneven on large surfaces. (after topcoat everything even out)

2 coats

I don't know why that this color is just so mysterious. It does not appear like the color shown on the bottle. Truly, it is not because the camera change its color, this is the true color on my finger. To me, the color shown on the bottle is pink with a touch of coral. However, when applied, it turn out to be a darker baby pink. But I do love the color.

Pros:

_Dry 1-2 min

_Long lasting with topcoat

_Creamy formula

_Cheap with quality

_2 coats is enough

Cons:

_Not the color appear on the bottle

_Like the other one, streaky and uneven, but when dry with topcoat, it is so pretty

Overall?

I love SinfulColors, I think it is cheap, and you can definitely find it often on sale at Waggs. I love their formula and all of their color. They provide a very great range of color, tons for you to choose from, and some color are very unique. For me, though, I just cannot pick up all of their polishes because they are bold and dark. Sometimes, I could not tell the difference between some color because it just darn too similar in shade. However, I think it is an alternative for the department store brand or some drugstores brand too.

Ps: I found out that when SinfulColors is old, they have a very stinky smell. I can stand it, but for me it just too odd.

Nail Polish Haul!!

Hey everyone,

Finally!! I can actually make a nail polish haul post. It sure take me a while and I think that I will start to build up a collection for my nail polishes. All of my polishes are actually under $1. I vow to myself that I will not buy any nail polishes above $1 only if there is a sale or a cheap price on a very very expensive nail polish. But beside that, I will try to find cheap nail polishes with great quality and also quantity.

Well on to my Haul....

I have been busy with school and really just want to stay away from the tech world for a bit, so there have not been much any blog activity lately. Today, I just want to post up a very quick chatter post (still no name for this type of post yet) with a question that have been in my mind for a while now (ever since I turn my life to the beauty world).

What is your dream makeup palette (From Face to Eyes)?
I am not talking about the palettes that already existed out there. I want to know that if you can create your own makeup palette, what would be the products in there. How would the palette look like? Why do you choose the products you want in this palette? And if there is a company such as Mac, Coastal Scent, Urban Decay, etc... let you make your own palette, would you do it?

For me, there have been times where I wish I can purchase my own palette from a lot of makeup brand. Have you ever buy a palette, just a small may be 4-6 pan eye shadows, and wish that you can take out a color that you do not like, or the ones with bad quality? I sure am for 100s of time. I tend to buy some small palettes of eye shadows and end up liking only may 2 or 3 of the shadows in it. Or sometimes, when I see a review of a palette, I wish that I can just take out the ones with bad quality and substitute them with the ones that I prefer. I do not own any of the 88 palette from Coastal Scent, but I have so many time tempted to make a purchase. I know that their shadows have good quality, but I realized that there are a lot of color in the palette that I will never use. Or I wish that they can combine both matte and shimmer shadows in one palette.

Soo....what would be my dream makeup palette? I definitely would choose a 88 palette that combine neutral and colorful eye shadows with matte and shimmery finish. What would be the best is I can choose the color I want and would need for everyday use and versatile for most events. I realized that something that is simple can be very sophisticated. We can wear a very neutral eye look and dress it up with an eyeliner, fake lashes, or black shadows at the outer corners for a fun party look.

This is something I wish that can happen in real life....so What do you guys think? I love to hear from you...

Hi everyone,

I thought that I should give you guys this quick sale because I am sure to take the advantage of it.
Today, I went to Walgreen to find a Loreal foundation that my mom used. I have been using it and I love it. However, some how Loreal does not carry this anymore. I might have to check back either at CVS or Rite Aid.

Anyways, I want to tell you guys about this great sale at Walgreen right now. I went to a Walgreen near my school 3 days ago and saw that they were having a sale on WnW Wild Shine nail polishes. The retail price is $.99, but on some colors they are only $.79. I know that it is not much of saving, but it still is such a great deal. I could not passed up on this. I ended up buying Sunny Side Up at that time. Well...I thought that may be that Walgreen is having just the special sale, so it might not apply at all to other Waggs. Today, I went to another Waggs and I was surprised....every color from the Wild Shine collection is on sale for $.79 each. I just could not believe it. I don't know why that this sale is happening and I don't know when it will end. So I kept wandering around and decided that I will buy two more: Black Creme and Rain Check (there wasn't much to choose from since most color were out of stock). I have not own a full size bottle of black polish (I don't wear dark color), but finally made the decision while I have the chance to. I was so happy that I got Rain Check. It is such a beautiful dark lilac with blue undertone. I will try to put up the swatches for 3 polishes soon.

Long story short, I think that it is worth it to stock up on your favorite color fron this line of WnW. If you don't have one, try one....and if you already have some, pick up the color that you don't have. I have to say, this is the first time that I bought a nail polish for just $.79. And if you know me, I am a cheap addict. hahaha if that make sense.

PS: You guys should check out at different Waggs to see if this sale is all over the US. And I don't know how long this sale will last, so use this opportunity if you want decent nail polishes. Oh! Also, there will be a sale on Sinful Color nail polishes $.99 each (retail at $1.99) starting next week at Waggs. If you guys have any light color from SC, give me suggestion please.

Chatting with Friend

Well...

I thought that I should do something more fun and personal to add a bit of variety to my blog. I decided that once in a while or may be more often I will do a chatting post. I guess it is not really chatting live, but I think it would be great if I can read everyone comments and opinions on what they think about a certain topic. I think it would be great if we can share our thoughts and feeling toward a subject. And I will gladly take any suggestions that you guys have. Moreover, it would be nice if you guys can come up with the name of this post. I have no idea what to put, so now is just a simple "Chatting with Friend."

So today, I just thought of the situation I came across for many times, but I don't know if everyone do this and should done it.

I went to the bank today to cashed out a check. The bank teller counted out the money outloud before she handed them to me. What I did is I counted the money outloud again when she handed me the money. Right at that moment, this question pop in my head

"Is this weird that I recounted the money right after she handed the money to me and right after she just counted the money OUTLOUD?"

I felt weird when I did this, but for me I have to do it because my dad do it all the time, especially when there is a bit more money to count. It is not that I don't trust the teller (heck I was there), but inside I keep having the feeling that I got to count that money again. Last time, I stood in front of the teller for a while because some how I had some difficulty counting the money. I felt a little bit intimidating because people were looking at me. But...I always have to do it because I would not be able to complain if some money is missing.

So my questions for you guys are: Do you guys do this all the time? How does it make you feel? Does this mean we have problem of not trusting anyone? Should we do it at all? Should we recount when the money is above $100 or no matter?

New E.L.F Haul

Hey my lovely bellas,

I recieved my order from e.l.f last week (which it was really fast) and I just cannot wait to do a quick haul for you guys. Well you guys can see that the pictures said it all. I don't have to explain each individual products except may be a bit of review of how is everything so far.

First of all, sorry but I lost the picture for Mineral Eyeshadow primer, but I am thinking of doing a review on it soon when I start using them.

Now let me start on the shipping. My order was exactly $10 and it comes in about 5 days which was really quick. All of my products are $1 each except the eye primer which is $3.

I decided to try out their new $1 lipstick in seductive and $1 shimmer eyeliner pencil in plum passion.

This is an amzing eyeliner. The brushes is strong and hard. It is very easy to apply, though take about 1-3 min to dry. Again with my folded lid I have to wait for it to dry or it will transfer and turn my eyes into a racoon. It has great staying power. Nothing beats $1 eyeliner.

This is my gift and I love the packaging. It so sleek and pretty. But to tell you the truth, I don't know what to use it for. I tried it as eyeliner and it look so awkward. I tried to apply it on my water line, but kinda hard to make it stay on. It make as a great base for eyeshadow though. Also it dries really fast and truly stay on your lid. I just need to figure out a way to use it properly.

I love the lipstick scent and the consistency. It goes on smoothly and it is very pigmented. However, the color appear way more darker than online. For me it was a bit bold, so a nude pigmented gloss would go well with this.

This is also very pigmented. A dark shimmery plum color which gives out very nice subtle look. But to warn you...if you have folded lids and oily lids, add a primer and either translucent powder or a shadow on top to make it stay. This does not seem to smudge that much.

I cannot say much yet since I only use it once, though love the smell.

For $1 mascara, I think this is so awesome. Both does their job, it make my lashes look longer and bolder. The waterproof side really work. It is even hard to clean with eyemakeup remover.

I guess I don't have much to say about this eyeshadow cream because it does its job: act as a base and quite pigmented. To warn you, the dark brown is very similar to the dark cream call Butter Pecan in their collection. But the lighter side gives a very nice purplish color.

This blush (SHY) is so small I was kinda disappointed. Plus, it is really sheer. However, if you start to build up, it truly gives you that very light natural pink cheek with a bit of shimmer. However, be very light handed because it cause loose powder everywhere.

There you have it...my quick haul. If you have tried elf products, give me your opinions.

Minnie Mouse Inspired Nail tutorial...

Hey my lovely friends,

This is a nail tutorial that I have been wanting to upload for you guys. This is very easy to achieve, but do need to take a little bit of time to practice. So let's get started.

1. You want to apply a base coat of your choice.

2. Apply 2-3 coat of red or fuchsia color ( Sally Hansen Fuchsia Bling Bling Diamond Strength). Apply as a french tip, use tape as a guide for perfect straight lines.

3. When all your nails dry. Apply white dots using the ends of a bobby pin (Wet n' Wild French tips White)

4. Apply black lines under the french tips using L.A colors Art Deco in Black.

5. Take time and let everything dry for 10-15 min. Apply your top coat.

And VOILA!! This is really simple. I hope you enjoy recreating this look. This is not only inspired by Minnie Mouse but it is inspired by my favorite guru on YT: cutepolish.Please subscribe to her. She have amazing nail art looks. It was difficult for me to draw a perfect bow, so I decided straight line can add the same cuteness. I got a lot of compliment on my nails at work. Customers were asking if I have done it on my own. And this is the first time that my nails last for a bout a week.

Physician Formula Review and Swatches

Hey everyone,

I have been wanting to do a review of Physician Formula Shimmering Strips for a long time. These are the pictures that I took long ago when I purchased these products. So...Let's go straight into what I think about these products

Pros:

1. Very nice and appealing packaging. The cases are very sturdy.

2. Come in great variety of sets for individual eyes color and each set have great variety of shadows.

3. You can create smokey or neutral eyelooks within one set.

4. Though all shadows seem to be shimmery, some appear to be more frosty or matte (which I like!).

5. Available at Target or Drugstores near you.

6. More color in one pallete, which is easier to carry around.

7. Color is easy to blend, but don't blend out too hard.

Cons:

1. A little bit expensive around $10 per pallete, but I got a coupon for BOGOFree

2. Some shadows are very pigmented, but some are not. Some are just disappear when you blend the color.

3. I prefer the Smokey collection rather the Hazel eyes because the color appear like how it looks.

4. Though Hazel eyes has color that can be use for everyday. (which is not really a cons)

5. Require eye primer and a base to make the color really pop.

6. I notice that these won't last that long on my lids (throughout the day) since I have oily lids and folded lids.

Overall, I like it more than I hate it. I noticed that I used them more often for work. However, I will not repurchase it even if I have the money since I feel that with cheaper products I can still get the same effect.

Hi my lovely friends,

I am so sorry that I have not been making any blog post. I have some makeup that I need to do review on and swatches. The reason for my lack of blogging is I got a job! I am so happy to finally get to work. For like 3 years in college, I need a job to spend on misc things in school. My parents keep complaining that I was being lazy, but I was not. I applied to certain places multiple times. I tried to look for jobs in the mall, but I just never catch the right time. Plus, somehow I was afraid of being a cashier. I am not so good at communicating with others. I tend to mumble or stumble on words, which makes it so embarrassing for me. Finally, I have a far aunt who accepted me into her restaurant. Oddly enough, I am doing pretty well as a cashier. I am a bit slow with money, but I am not that bad with talking to the customer and introducing them with items that served in the restau. I am still trying to learn the menu, but there are nearly like more than 100 items on the menu, so I think it gonna take me a while.

Also, I have to admit that I am guilty for not wanting to blog. I work for 7h/day and when I get home, my leg was aching for standing so much. However, I do not mind how hard my work is, all I care about for this moment is to finish the last book from Twilight saga. I am truly love all the books. The last book is taking a bit longer since there is a lot of information I want to absorb in. I also believe that it's going to be the hardest book out of all three to make the movie from. I heard that they will split the last book into 2 movies, and all I hope is they will not take any important scene out of the book. I think the movies will have to be rated R. Hahaa.

Lastly, I will try to blog this weekend on products I gotten for a while now. I cannot take picture at night with my camera, the color will be wash out.

Hi my friends,

Do not get fool by my title...

I am so sorry for not posting anything on my blog. I have been lazy, and I have been a bit busy, but not that busy. When summer hit, time just fly by super super fast. It is just that I been sleeping at my grandma's house for nearly a week, since my grandpa is visiting Vietnam. My grandma is afraid to live alone. She just does not want to stay at my house; therefore, I was stuck at my grandma's house. I was TV and internet deprived at nights. My first two nights were uncomfortable, it is not that I am not used to sleeping at a strange place, but it is that I have to sleep on the sofa and it was so uncomfortable in someway. AND BTW, it was just totally unpleasant to sleep in her house. It is stinky with a molded smell (so hard to describe), and it was super hot. It is not hot outside, it was cool--> cold side, but her house was simply stuffy. I did not complain since I do not want to be disrespectful. Since there are no access to TV (my grandma do not want to me to watch it after 10 b/c she afraid it bothers her neighbor, which I am surprised how they could hear the TV when it was only 3 bars of volume) and internet, book is my last resort. Ha haha. As I told you guys before, I am not a book person. The only books that I ever read throroughly and simply love were Harry Potter. Yep, I love it, and I read all seven books. I have not watch the last couple movies that came out, but the books were excellent. And all my friends were amazed how I could stand it. No one like it and everyone gave up after the first two. Hahaha. I just love things that is mystery and romantic and magical.

Well since the opportunity knock, I decided to read Twilight. Yes! I know!!! I am so late because everyone else has read them already. And everyone is raving about the new movie. I know huh? ; P I am always one step behind in everything. To tell you friends the truth, I have never touch the book nor watch any of the movie. I don't know why it was not interest me back then. I was simply ignoring it when everyone raved about it. I know that it is about vampire, which I do love, but I just simple not interested. NOW It is like a drug to me, I read in three days and I just freakkking love it. No words can describe how great it is. It makes me forget TV and internet. I just could not stop putting the book down. It is so addicting. It just that heated, dangerous, forbidden love that make me so into it. I love vampire more than ever before. Why do they always make vampires so sexy, mysterious, and lovely? I finished the book today and I just want to screamm. I just want to yellllllllll out loud. I cannot believe that I did not read the books before. I could not believe that I was interested in Vampire, but I did not want to read the books. Have anyone ever watch the whole series of MOON LIGHT? It is a television series, not movie. I was in love with it because there was vampires in it, but the series ended after just two seasons and I was hecka mad.

Now Twilight saga is my favorite. I just read the first book and it was amazing. It makes me want to fall in love with a vampire, it makes me desire for a vampire boyfriend, it makes me feel so hot when I read about Bella and Edward. I am sooo looking forward for the other three. I do not want to read it so fast because I do not want it to end. I heard the last book was really good, so hopefully I will get to read it by the end of the summer.

For real, it is an addiction and a craving that I could not stand. I yearn for more and more. It is truly a phenomenon. Love it!! And the book makes me forgot about things around me...hahaha

trying out new nail design...

Hi Everyone...

Today, I was sitting home alone and decided to tried out this nail look. It look messy because I thought my white polish has already dry. I semi-hate my white polish, it took forever to dry and it got thicken lately. However, it is opaque, so it is very easy to use. Oh well, this is inspired by a look from YT guru. I don't remember which one though. I can only paint my thumb and pinkie because all my other nails are super short. My nails break easily, so I could not leave them long. I will try to do this look may be in two weeks. Next time, I probably do French tip white and purple lining. It might be easier. If anyone try out this look, please post it on your blog. I would love to see it. I am not that talented in painting, especially for nails too.

I thought I will be off to the summer with a happy face on my face. But today...one of the worse day ever in my life. I really want to express my anger and I just want scream at someone. However, I resent that and just simply want to write this little diary post. Today I figure out the grade for one of my class. I was surprised...realllly surprised...never believe how I could be that surprising. I question myself what did I do wrong? I question myself that did I really did that bad? I question myself that is all my effort I put into this class go into waste? I never in that moment could believe my eyes. I could not believe the numbers that I recieved. Why? WHy? Why? If I was slacking off, if I did not do anything, if I was playing around, if I was not doing what I suppose to do, I would accept the grade I got. However, NO NO NO...I was not being a bad student and a bad girl and I recieved a grade that never in my life I thought I would. After being in the teacher's office, I went out, calculated my grade and simply just cried cried cried. To tell everyone the truth, it feels worse than failing for the WST or get bad score on the SAT. It so hurt, I just cannot describe it. I did not see it coming and it shoot right through me. I feel so bad because I just feel that I should get a bit higher grade to help my GPAs, but now I lose my chance to maintain the high GPAs. I needed it...I need high GPA to apply to Nursing....I need it because it is my future. It just seem that I simply let it slip off my hand. Right now crying does not make me feel better. It just makes it worse and worse. There is no help for talking to my teacher. I just cannot be disrespectful to her, but I just cannot explain that to her that I really put my effort into the class.

Afterward, my friend just drove me to the mall and we walk around to help me forget my grade. However, the pain came back and it make me feel so lonely. Have you ever feel that you are at a bottom of a tank and you tried harder than others, but you cannot reach up to pull yourself out of it? I am behind and now I feel worse for being behind. I tried hard, but I still not succeed. I see others who are now ahead of me and just feel so lonely. I want to raise my voice, but feel that everyone will just look down on me. I really wish that someone could understand my capability and ability, understand that I work really hard. I just want others to stop comparing me to others make me feel like I meant nothing to the others.

Hi my lovelies,

Today I am officially out of school. I am totally free for the whole night and just do not know what to do. I ended up looking for inspired nail tutorials. I came across some amazing nail gurus and I just have to click the subscribe button. Right now I want to talk to you about two amazing nail art products that I have been wanting to buy. They are amazing and they would give you amazing nail art designs.

1. Konad Nail Art- This is a product that use a stamp and image plate to stamp designs onto your nails. I am amazed at the idea. Check out their website: http://www.konadnailart.com/index.html . There are many image plates for you to choose from and the images are unique, cute, and intricate. I fall in love the moment that I saw the products. However, there are some cons to this product. Even though I never try this product before, I can see some negative sides of this product:(1) The product is expensive. There are different sets and you can actually choose to buy individual equipment, but it still add up to around $15+. (2) You have to use their nail polishes to get the best result, and the polish is a bit costly.(3) You need a bit more steady hand to stamp the product. (4) The stamping process requires a bit more work and not sure if ordinary polishes will give the same result. Nevertheless, I have seen so many video clips that I believe it is the best nail art tool out there. I believe that there are other dupes for Konad, but this is the authentic one. This is on my wishlist, and I hope to get it some time soon in the future. Right now, I do not do nails that often and are not willing to spend too much money on this product.

2. SmART nails: http://www.smart-nails.com/ Have any of you guys heard of this brand? I recently discover SmartNail through some nail tutorials. I was surprised that I had the same idea, but mine did not work so well. Before this discovery, I had the idea to use tape and different shape-hole-puncher to make stencils. However, my hole punchers set was too big. I need smaller images that fit on nails. That would just cost me too much, plus I figure out that hole puncher does not work well with tape. This product is stencils with very small intricate design. I am not so sure what the stencil made of, but I believe it is like tape b/c it sticky on one side, so you can stick it on your nails. I think this is a best alternative for Konad. One set design come with 10 stencils, and the best part is you can reuse it. I am not sure how duriable it is, but so far it seem very useful. Guess what? It only cost you $3 for a set. However, there are shipping money. I still think it is such a good deal. Today I ended my final early for a class, so I have plenty of time before I started on my HW for one more class. Just one more day then I am officially out of school. Here are the pictures of makeup looks that I did. I did makeup and hair on my sister and her friend, and my friend also. There are not much of close up looks, but I think you guys get an idea of all the looks.

Here is the pictures of my friend:

the closer look for makeup, she does not like to wear very thick makeup for photo, so everything is light and natural. I also did the silver smokey eye look. THis is the day before the wedding day. I practiced on her to let her decide on what look she want, so she like this one. Below is the hair look from behind. Then the blue dress she wear was on the wedding day. I did her sister hair, but I don't have any picture from her.

Here is my sister, she does not look very good with eyemakeup, so I did very simple look. The girls in blue and white is my sister's friends. I also did their makeup and hair, I know that both look so white, but they do not like to wear dark makeup. I told them that it need to be darker since they have Asian eyes, but I think it makeup them look more natural.

This is their prom picture. It is so cute, I love it.

Pink Polka Dot design nail Tutorial

I thought that it would be fun to put up for you guys. I had so much fun doing this nail tutorial, but I just wish I can actually video tape it.

First apply base coat to ur nails, then apply thick french tips. Wait for it to dry...You might need to apply a second layer to your french tips. Then Apply thinner french tips on top of the white as shown in the picture. I use Sally Hansen Rose to the Occasion.

Wait for it to dry. Apply 2-4 dots randomly to the whole nails with the same pink polish. I use the end of a bobby pin for the dots.

Then use the white polish to dot onto the spaces between pink. I apply less polish so it is smaller than the pink ones. Wait for everything to dry, and apply the top coat.

There!! We are finish! I think this kinda look like ice-cream don't you think? I think this is so cute for the summer. I need to get more summer color polishes in the future.

Mini tutorial for nail

Hey Guys...

I just want to put up this quick DIY nail tip. The picture above resemble the french tip guides from brands, such as Nailene. I thought of buying them, but I have some marterials at home that I thought why not create my own. So I create the picture above from MS and just print it out on a piece of sticker paper. I have tons these sticker paper at home, and I just simply cut out as many as I need. You can copy the picture above and print it out on may be those white label paper. If anyone want, I can actually email u guys the doc file to make it easier for print out. I just realized that some people might not have those label print out at home. But try anything that have one sticky side and can be put into the printer and print it out.

Ok guys,

I just need to put up another quick update while I am on a break in school. Last post, I told you guys that I will have some time to put up some posts, but I am totally wrong. Haa haa. Sorry guys!! I told myself to finish a 10 page paper before Friday, but that did not went well. It took me 3 days to finish the paper. OMG I am so slow!! Ok hopefully I can blog this weekend. If not, I am so sorry because you guys have to wait after two more weeks. SO Last post, I mention about doing a giveaway, and I got some positive feedbacks that I should do one. I have eight followers now, so like XAgnes said I will reach 10 in no time. I decided that I will do a giveaway. I will start collecting items for the giveaway, and my budget can only be $10 and a little bit more for shipping. I really wish I can spend more, but now is not the right time for me. When I get a job, I will spend a lot more for you guys. I am thinking of buying a mix of different drugstore brand makeup products. Brands that I mentioned in the last post. I will post up the prizes picture when I finish collecting them. Oh I have to tell you guys that I will have to either open the paper packaging or cut away parts of the packaging to save some room, but do not worry!! all items are new, untouch, and no swatches done on them at all.

I will have some free time tomorro, so I will spend a great amount of time posting on blog. Now I have to write a paper for school, and this is a late paper too. Just a quick minue update!!

Hi everyone!!

I just want to put up a quick minute update to tell you guys I am still here. I do not want to abandon my blog, but I have been busy with school. It is so near the end of the semester, so I am super super tired of papers and finals. I am thinking of blogging about makeup and hair that I did on 5 people in the same day. I will go into details and post some pics. I should have took before and after pic from everyone, but we were busy. Plus, I wish I took more pics, but truly have no time and I need good lighting to take picture. It was such a fun experience for me since it was my first time doing that much. I am looking forward for more. Anywhos, I will also post a review on two new palletes of ES I bought. I also want to do something new to blog. I have no idea yet. But Just want to tell you guys that it will come may be in the next 2-3 weeks. I am also thinking of holding a very mini giveaway. I do not work, so the prizes might be very little. New Nail tutorial

Hey everybody,

Since I purchased the Claire's nail polishes, I decided I should give it a try on a new nail look. The Claire's nail polish is called Magic. I love the dark purple with fine glittery undertone of a bit dark reddish brown. I really recommended you guys to check out your local Claire's stores to see if this is available. I love this color so much, but my mom does not like it when I where dark nail polish.

Anyways, this is what I got as the result. It is a bit messy since I was in a hurry to do some stuff. Turn out the white dots were not dry yet. This is suppppper eassssy. All you need is Claire's Magic nail polish, white opaque nail polish, top and base coat, and a toothpick. Here is the step:

1. Apply base coat. If you have sheer glittery polishes, u can definitely make this look more fancy by applying them.
2. After the base coat dry, apply Magic like french tips. You can use guiding strip for neater look. I make my own.
3. Wait about 5-7min for that to dry. U might want to apply 2coats of Magic. After all fingers are dry. Use a toothpick and dip it into white nail polish. Dot it on to the tips.
4. Wait until everything is dry. Apply top coat then you are done. Simple!!

I saw this look on faux nails that sold in stores. I thought to myself, why waste money?? I happen to have everything at home. Just need to be creative!!!

Haul and Review of recent shopping trips

Hi Yall!!

This is my haul and a bit of review for the products I purchased. This is products that I bought from several trips to Dollar Tree, Target, Claire's, and Icing.

I went to Dollar Tree and Target on last Saturday. Then just last Sunday, I meet up with an old high school friend, Cassandra, at GM,which is a mall near my house. We end up buying stuff at Claire's and Icing. So here is some things I gathered up from my trips.

From Dollar tree, I got the two loose pigment from L.A. colors. These are not really good quality pigments, but I ended up getting them just for the heck of collecting these. This time I have swatches for both Sunshine and Lollipop. My photo wash out the color, so it won't appear as great as it is in reality. I got e.l.f ES primer underneath to intensify the color. Next time I will try foiling using water to see if it will work better. I also get a pack of bobby pins since I know it will be gone fast if I do not get them, and just in case I lose my existence ones(man I got tons right now, but never hurt to stock up).hee hee. There are 84 bobby pins that is very good saving. The bobby pins are pretty durable too.

This is what I got from Target. Remember that I told you guys e.l.f will be available at Target? So they are here!! I got so excited I wanted to grab everything. There are the $1 line and studio line available. Some items in both lines are not there, such as the e.l.f ES primer. However, there are plenty of stuff for you to choose from. I will come back to get more if I have money in the future. hahaha. This is all I could get. Oh forgot to say, a lot of items actually out of stock too,so it is a miss here and there from depend on yours Target. Below are the $1 items: Drama ES, waterproof eyeliner, and shine eraser.

Here is the swatches from the ES and eyeliner. The eyeshadow is great, you guys can see that the light silver is really sheer. I agreed! I really tried to pack it on but it still did not appear. I think it needed a silver base or may be foiling tech. The darker silver is very glittery, black and white is matt. This is excellent for smokey eye look. As for the eyeliner, it has the felt pointy tip application. Really like a marker. Easy to apply. Not really waterproof. You have to wait until it completely dry for it will not be smudged.

From Claire's I got two nail polishes, the green ponytail holders, and faux nails that is not in the picture. And my friend got the similar things, so we got all of them for $1 each. These are at their clearance section $10 for $10. We have to buy 10 to get the deal. At Icing, they have 5 for $10. My friend bought me the Icing white cream eyeshadow (the swatch is at the dollar tree swatches) and split me the red and black ponytail holders. They come in a ball. I think they are such a great deal.

So I think yall should head over to these stores and get these great deals! I will probably come back to shop for more if I have time and money.

To continue the last Prom post, I decided to blog about makeup and hair ideas.

While writing this post, I was thinking a lot on what kind of makeup and hairstyles you guys can do for prom. There are so many so many videos on Youtube that you can choose from. I have to go through many videos from my favorite YT gurus to choose and pick out what can be appropriate for prom. This is a very fun post, and I love it when I see someone get dressup for an event, and what make me more exciting is when I get to do that person makeup and hair. I do not know if I have mentioned this before, I did my cousin's hair for a wedding, and then I did my cousin's and her friend's hair plus makeup for a Masquerade dance. I was super excited because it was my first time doing makeup and hair on someone, who had an event to go to. I did my sister hair before too for several events, but I am not the right makeup artist for her. A little bit of cooking for yous!!

Hi everybody

Today my mom decided to make this dish that I haven't ate for a long time. Techincally I really did not miss it, but I think that it kinda nice to get to eat this once in a while. Well, I thought that I should post this dish up to share with everyone. I could not really give you guys the recipe because my mom never cook with recipe and me too. We mostly try it so that it fit our tastebuds and it really become a habit that we never measure anything. So I guess I'll kinda give you guys a guideline.

Ingredients: Yam or sweet potato, shirmp or squid,any frying batter that you like or batter mix that you can find in Asian market, lettuce, fresh herb, salt, pepper, sugar, oil, fish sauce, vinegar, red asian pepper or chili sauce, garlics and shallots.

Alright here is how you can do this dish called "Frying Yam with Squid". Usually this dish is made with shrimp, but today my mom has squid at home so she substitutes it for shrimp.

1. Prep squid. We always wash our meat, so make sure it is clean.
2. Marinate squid (about 1 pound). Chop 3-6 cloves of garlic and 1-3 shallots,add about 2 tsp of sugar; if the squid is already salty then don't add salt, if not add about 1-3 tsp of salt. Then add black pepper and about 1 Tsp of oil. Mix it all together with the squid. Let it sit for about 5 min. You can do this step the same with shrimp.
3. Prep 1-2 M size yams, thinly slice it as shown below.
4. Prep the batter as shown on the package, or use your favorite frying batter from online. I also add one egg into the batter even though it is not required.
5. Since we are frying there should be plenty of oil, but do not fill it as deep fry,just about 1/3 of the pan.
6. When the batter is finish, dump the squid into the batter (make sure you get a big bowl to mix the batter in)then you may slowly add your thinly sliced yam in also. Usually you should make extra batter for this dish to make sure that you have enough to coat everything and to make it like a pancake. Mix the whole thing together and make sure everything should be coated with batter.
7. Set your stove at medium heat. Wait until the oil is hot (to test, use a chopstick and dip it in the oil, if bubble forming around the chopstick, it means the oil is hot enough).
8. Use a big spoon, scoop up the batter and use chopstick to pick up 3 pieces of squid, a bunch of yam into the spoon. Slowly place this spoon into the hot oil while removing the content out the the spoon. This will look like you are making pancake in a differnet way. Each side should take about 2-3 min. (see the image below to get the idea). The frying will take a while, and be warn, oil will splatter around.
9. While waiting to let this fry, make the sauce, you can either eat them with ketchup, sweet and sour sauce, or any sauce you have. I prefer to make dipping fish sauce. Use 1 part of fish sauce, 1 part of sugar, 1 part of vinegar, and 2 part of water to mix all together.However,first chop about 3 cloves of garlic, then add the 1part sugar in. Mix it all together first with may be red hot chili pepper, or chili sauce. Then add the rest of the ingredient together. Mix together and it will taste amazing.

Here is the finish products. They look a little bit burn, but they are sure taste great.

I love these vegetable and herbs.

When you are finish frying, eat it with lettuce and herb, or rice noddle (vermicelli). Use the lettuce like seaweed. Break off the piece of frying squid and roll it with the herbs inside the lettuce. Dip it in the sauce and voila, you got this Vietnamese dish to eat.

I know that I am already in college, but it's never hurt to put up some ideas for highschool girls. I went on to Seventeen Magazine website and was just looking for any update on hair tutorials. Somehow I click on the prom tabs. Ha haha. THen I was surprised of an article title "Prom dresses under $100". Lately, I think prom dresses have became more simple, but still elegant. And definitely cute for you to wear to prom. Some dresses can be interchangeable to any events. You can either dress up by adding bold or simple accessories, elegant hairstyles, and wear heels or wedges. You can dress down by wearing shirts underneath the dress and add leggings, jeans, shorts, permuda or capris; wearing shoes such as flats, pumps,boots, or sandals; have normal straight hair; pair with a big slouchy handbag; there you can have fun going shopping with your friends. However, depending on the theme of the dance, you might want to find more expensive dresses to fit the occasion. Here is just a general ideas for those who want to save money and still get pretty dresses. I am big on saving money, and big on getting quality out of items that I purchased. I know $100 is a lot of money, but most of the dresses that I saw on several websites are around $50. Isn't the price still a good deal? I do not know why and how, I suddenly remember her blog. I have been reading her blog even before I know what blog is and before I make my own blog. She is my first guru that I learned how to do hair from. Tonight, I was just wondering around on the web and suddenly remember that I have save her blog link on my Fav list. I forgot about her for a while (must have been a year or so) now since she was not updating much information, and I was also busy with school. Now I came back and so many things have changed. Ooh I should catch up to her blog.

Anyways, this story really touch my heart and it makes me cry while reading it. I think some of you might have read it before, but I want to put it up anyways. After weeks of sleepless nights, after hours of having stress, after numerous assignments have due, I finally can have a nice Thursday night to relax and forget about school.

I am not complaining about anything for school right now because it is what it is, and I simply have to accept it. However, I feel frustrated a bit about myself since I decided to get a minor in Child Development. Please do not get me wrong that I hate it! I do love children and love to learn about them, but I have this problem that I think everyone should know. I am not a good writer and I have major problems in writing. Yes! You probably think that “No wonder why..." my previous posts were horrible. Let me tell you a bit about my bio:

I came to America for 9 years now. My first year living here, I was struggling so much in speaking, writing, and reading English. I think my most disadvantage was I did not get that much knowledge of English when I was still living in Vietnam. It was also my fault that I am not a big reader. Reading is something I really hate and no matter which school you go to nor what level of school you are at, you cannot avoid reading and it is just so important to develop language. When I came to America, watching TV is something I really enjoyed and still enjoy until today, but not much anymore since internet become the big thing for Teens. I learn to speak, write, and read by watching TV. I remember my middle school teacher telling my dad that I should watch TV to get me started on learning English, even though reading is also important. I do not know why I am not a big reader, but I do read books on my own if it is interesting. I remember back from middle school I used to go to the library to borrow books that teach you how to do craft. I just love them so much, and I was being yelled at for not reading more stories books and text books rather than craft book. Ha ha ha. However, that come out to be a good thing because craft became my hobby and I got really good at doing it. Well I notice that I do enjoy reading books that are scary, adventurous, mysterious, and books that somewhat relate to me. I remember that I love reading those series of Goosebumps. There were a lot of books I read in school that I also like, such as books from John Steinbeck, To Kill the Mockingbird, The Grapes of Wrath, and even more. I know some of you might say that I am crazy, but I love love love Harry Potter, in which I read all of them in my freshman year of college. It's just that I never find the time to read them before. I think it is amazing. I own two or three books from the series since I got it so cheap at the library. Recently, I came upon the book "Catfish and Mandala" by Andrew Pham. My sister read it for school, and so I borrow it to read. The book really interests me because it is about Vietnamese. Unfortunately, I have not finish this book since school has been such a hectic. I really recommended this book, especially for Vietnamese.

Well back to my writing problem, I cannot write when I am under pressure. Blogging is starting to be my favorite hobby. I love blogging so much because it just really give me practice in writing. When I blog, I really just want to write for myself as a diary and for someone who interesting in reading. I am also blogging about my new favorite hobby, which is learning how to do makeup and hair. However, for school, I just feel so much pressure since I have to write for a grade, write to past my classes, and write for my future. NO...I do not major in literature, but my school requires writing in every class. My weakness is just really having a weak foundation of writing in English; especially grammar is a big problem for me. I really try to keep practicing writing to better myself.

Therefore, please be open-minded when you guys read my blog, I tried to give a lot of updates on what I learned about hair and makeup. I know I have not put up many post about them, but I tried to do it when I get more experience working with them. I just cannot do makeup and hair on my own, so I have to wait to get models to work on them. Hee hee.

After next week I will have Springbreak, so I think I will have more time to post something interesting. Next week I still have two exams and a writing assignment,so I cannot really post anything up. I got to work harder in school, because I really hate getting bad grades.

Alright, may be I'll post something up tomorrow if I go out shopping.

Hi guys and girls,

This last week have been so crazy for me. I had an exam, a writing assignment, and a presentation that all happened on Thursday. I was so stress for the whole week. I was barely had enough time to study for the test, to write the assignment, and to do the presentation. I felt worse after Thursday. I felt that I missed too much questions on my exam, did not write that well on the essay, and my speech for the presentation was terrible. I was like OMG OMG OMG!!!!!!! Not only I got so much pressure for the assignments due last week, I was also feeling super super stress for finding parents to interview for an assignment due on this coming Tuesday.

Man oh Man, I was glad that the weekend came. However, time past by too fast, I am now getting my stress back for this week. I will have the assigment due on Tues, an exam on Wed, and a short research paper due on Thur. School is so suck. Why do we have to suffer so much..Hee hee. Still, I am glad that the parents-interview work out. After two days of worries, after two days spending time at the library, after two days looking for parents, I finally have answers for all the questions from my interviewers. Truly, I was freaking out because I thought my interviewers will not reply back in time for me to write. Now I am half less worry for that paper. But this is causing my face to break out horribly, and I got so much blemishes for not have time taking care of it.

I will be super busy for the next two weeks. Exams are coming up again. I'm hanging on tight until Spring Break. Woo hoo. I cannot wait. I need a break from school. Spring should be my favorite season, but not anymore. I feel that things always go wrong during Spring semester eversince I start college. ha ha Imagination!! Well until then, I might be off from blog for a bit. I am suppose to be studying right now, instead of blogging. Oh well, crazy me.

You might want to check out your Target.

At Walgreens, Wet n' Wild is now have its own huge section of items. Still not sure if the one near my school have it or not. However, the one I used to go to have it. The section doesn't look that attracting to me though, it seem like not many items updated. May be they are updating and reoganizing that section. Just make sure to check your Walgreens for new items.

Welcome back!! I have so much time on my hand today, so I am blogging like crazy. Just to let you know, last post was just something I want to get out of my system. I was having a moment of sadness and madness. I just need a little bit of venting. ;P Now I am Ok to blog on something fun. Woo hooh!!

This is not really a guide, so don't take me wrong on this. I just want to share with you things that I found very helpful. Alright let's get started.

Over the past year, I been collecting a lot of information on where to buy cheap cosmetic products and here is a little something of what I found:

1. "e.l.f" You have heard me said this before, but I have to keep repeating it. This company is great. I love the products that I purchased and nothing really beat $1+ makeup products. Visit http://www.eyeslipsface.com/ . Sign up for their newsletter. They will always send you coupon codes for very good discount or free shipping. It is already cheap, but they really want you to save money. :) Oh yeah reminding you guys that in just a few days, e.l.f will be available at Target. I heard from another guru that some products are already available to buy.

2. " Dollar Tree" Some of you might think that I am really cheap because I shopped at DT. However, all I can say is a little saving can really go a long way. I posted on blog before about products I got from DT. My comment about shopping there is be smart. Do not let it fool you because of its cheap products. However, the important fact is compare all the products. I notice that many of their products are products that come from drugstores, especially makeup. I found N.Y.C, Revlon, Maybelline, and Covergirl at DT. So why pay more when you you could have pay less. I remember that Covergirl single eyeshadow was in a pack of two at DT. I should have bought it, but the colors was not really calling me. I was so dissapointed afterward because I went to Walgreens and Target and the price was around $3-4 for one only. How sad!

3. "Essence Cosmetic" http://www.essence.eu/us/usa/home.html I just discovered this line of cosmetic few hours ago. Funny me. I watched http://www.youtube.com/user/mS3riKa new video and heard about Essence. I was surprised at the price because it was at Ulta. (Sidenote: I never been to Ulta before, so is it like Sephora? I saw online that they only have cosmetic products, but they do have drugstores brand such as Revlon, Covergirls, Maybelline. Well I guess more higher end products. I was surprised at first because I always thought of it like Sephora. Truly though, they carried higher end more expensive products). So I was browsing around, the Essence products are starting from $1 upto $10,I believe. Most are around $2-4. I think it is not bad and definitely going to try someday. Not many talk about this brand, so I am hoping to see reviews from this soon. I think this brand is new to Ulta or may be to the US. I believe this brand is from Europe. If anyone want to check them out go to Ulta.com , this brand of cosmetic does not have online store. Thanks to "mS3riKa", and please subscribe to her.

4. "ValentineKisses" I recently heard about http://www.valentinekisses.com/index.php from http://www.youtube.com/user/MakeupByRenRen. She is excellent, and I want to thanks her for giving me this info. Please subsribe to her too. This is a new website that nearly like DT, but it only sell hair, nail, and makeup products. This is like a paradise for all young girly girls, including me. This website sell all drugstores brand products from Covergirls to Sally Hansen. Plus, they have other products such as Mary Kate...What the owner's intention was to sell products that only available in the US to other countries around the world. That is such a cool idea, isn't it? I should have thought of it before. Hahaha JK. Everything on the site is at super low price, ranging from $1-$10max. I only see one review from MakeupByRenRen, so please do not blame anything on me for any faulty products. This is an online store,so shipping is something to take into consideration. I believe that standard shipping is $5.99 flat rate. Eh..not bad.

5. "Wet n' Wild" I am so far just loving their nail polishes. Of course, it is not the best brand, but it is simply good enough to use when you are on a budget. Its products isn't bad at all. I heard many good reviews from it. I know that you can buy them at Walgreens, CVS, and Target. Its prices is $.99+. Just to let you guys know, at Walgreens, Wet n' Wild will get a huge new updated section for itself. I heard this from lovely Noveau Cheap a while back. I have not seen any changes from the two Walgreens I always go to. They will add more new products,take out some old ones, and update on some. I am excited to see it. I hope to see this change soon because I heard mS3riKa said that the Walgreen she went to did change. I hope the price will not be too outrageous. I do not know,though, if this update will be applied to Target or CVS. I might check it out to see.

6. "N.Y.C" This is just like Wet n' Wild. They are another cheap brand that really worth to try out. I could not really say much about this brand because some how I was never spot this line at Target or Walgreen. The only products that I tried from this line is nail polish. I should really go back and take a look at all of their products. If you guys have tried them before, please comment about them.

7. "L.A colors" I will not say much about this brand because I just wrote a review about it. However, if you would like to know where to get this brand continue reading. It is available at Dollar Tree, Forever 21, cherryculture.com....I know there are other places, but I only know three. The only thing I truly love about this brand is the nail art polishes. Best cheapest place you can find is DT. May be online is cheaper but considered the cost for shipping.

8. " Biglots" I only been there once, and unfornately, I was not lucky enough to be able to uncovered all of its goodness. You can definitely go to Biglots and save money on cosmetic products. I would love to tell you more, but all I know is check out Noveau Cheap, http://nouveaucheap.blogspot.com/. She is amazing on doing updates for good buys.

9. "Target and Walmart" I often do not buy any cosmetic products in these two department stores. I have to tell you though that you will save a bit more of drugstores brand if you shop there. Not much to say to that....

It is funny how I ended at 9, but some how my brain just freeze and could not think of any more to add. I will do updates on more when I found more goodies for you guys. Hope you enjoy this long guide not short anymore. Oopsie Daisy.

Hey Everyone,

Finally, TGIF! I am so tired after a week of papers papers papers to write. I am so behind with readings in school, too. After this sleepless week (been staying up for 3 nights to write 3 papers , my fault for doing that last minute), I am glad that weekend have come. However, I feel that the weather is so dumb to dump all of this rain on Friday and probably the whole weekend. The last two days were so sunny, I wish I had sunblock to put on my horrible skin right now. No, I do not have any skin reaction, but I did have some minor burn on my face. My skin is just keep breaking out. I feel so horrible right now.

Anywhos, enough with rambling....I went to Dollar Tree yesterday. My favorite store in the whole world!!! beside Old Navy for clothes. Ha haha JK. I went in to buy some chips for my sister, and I had to check out the costmetic section. There are still those palletes from L.A colors. This time, I saw 12 ES in a pallete. I did not buy any because I was still using some of the palletes in my haul. My luck came when I saw that next to the makeup products are the nail art polishes from L.A colors. OMG, I was looking for it for a while now. Since the time I spotted these polishes in Dollar Tree, I kept coming back to look for more. However, they were out of stock. Now they put out a whole punch again, I am so happy. It ended up that I bought gold and silver glitter polishes and nail polish remover. I want to buy black, but I decided that I have not use the black polish yet so Nope.

If you guys are running out of these nail polishes, go to Dollar Tree. I bet that some Dollar Tree even have new costmetic products.

E.L.F Coming to Target?!?!

I am so glad that this is happening. Hee hee. I was sitting at my desk and just browsing around, and I came upon one of my favorite blog. And this is such an excited news.

I went to Target,lately, but I stop seeing elf on shelf. I was wondering why. At first, I thought that not many know about the products,so it might be why they take it down. Or it might just simply too cheap to imagine their products quality. However, this is what make me want to go on a shopping frenzy. I truly do not like Target that much. I do not know why, but most of the time, I cannot buy anything from it. However, this is the reason why, from now on, I will start coming to Target.

I am announcing that next month the entire line of $1 elf products and studio products will be in Target. This is from Noveau Cheap. She is amazing! Always have good news.

I think this is great. My first order on the site was great. However, the S&H on the site was pretty expensive, luckily, I got the code for free shipping. Now I can just buy their products any time I want. This is a great way for me to try all of their products. I definitely going to buy some more brushes, eyeshadows, and lip products. May be some face products too?

Big Huge Haul and a Long Review!!!

So as what I said in the last post, this is going to be my huge haul. In each slide show, I will give a review and where I got it from. So hope you guys enjoy this.

So first is the Nail polishes

Nail - Slideshow

I have bought most of these nail polishes. If you see my previous post, I win the Zoya nail polish from Pursebuzz. I got the Sally Hansen Confetti from my best friend as Christmas present. And the rest is just my collection.

I really love Zoya. Their quality is excellent. It is easy to apply and it has staying power. However, the price is steep...$7/bottle. It is not fit for my pocket.

I also love my Sinful Colors. This is one of the first ones I bought with my own money. This is a sheer pink glittery polish. It is like a top coat, but with very smooth fleck of glitter. I cannot describe it, but it is not chunky flecks in there. I love it a lot because it dry fast, stay strong, and is great for french nails too. There are several ways you can use this. Oh I forgot, this was $1.99 at Walgreen. I will be looking forward to buy more color from this brand.

Alright onto Sally Hansen. I do not know what you guys think, but Sally Hansen is not really my favorite brand of nail polish. Both my friend and my cousin own some of the more expensive line from them, but I still think they are ok. Um...so the SH Confetti is just a great top coat because it is just fun to have. I prefer not to wear chunky glitter nail polishes. It is a bit hard when you clean your nail. The four other nail polishes came from Dollar Tree. I just purchased it yesterday. They came in a pack of 2 for only $1. I was so excited. I love all of the colors so much. However, I am disappointed in their quality. All of them are really streaky. I applied 3 coats on with the lighter pink and it still streaky. Moreover, it took me forever to let the polish dry. Now it dry it still have that sticky feel to it, and it got scratch easily. My thumb was chip when I took the picture. I want to give them to my friend, but now I can't. So No No No, please do not get them. I am not recommending these. Um may be the brushes are just simply not well made. hee hee =P

Umm...the L.A colors nail art polishes are excellent. I got them for $1 each and I believe it is the cheapest price you can find. I got them from Dollar Tree during Christmas. Man oh man, I should have buy more to stock up because it is so useful. I love the silver glitter the most. I would cry if I ran out since I bought it so cheap. ha ha.

On to E.L.F products. In my earlier post, I talked about ordering E.l.f, so this is the haul for it. Only one item is a prize, which is the eyeshadows. Well, when I ordered elf, I got a coupon code for free shipping with min purchase of $15. I split half with my friend. She got three items that I do not have picture of. However, it was the definition transparent powder, shine eraser, and eye primer (like mine).

ELF products - Slideshow

I just start out with doing makeup, so I prefer to buy cheaper makeup products. I love elf because they have a whole line of $1 items. I can go crazy shopping there. The only thing that I do not like is the flat rate shipping, $6.99, which is Ok not great. The thing is they can sell it cheap because their items are smaller in quantity. However, many of their items have great quality. I have seen a lot of reviews on YT, and elf is great for begginers.

Ok...So first is the eyeshadows quad, I love it because purple is my favorite. You have to have a good primer because it can fade. It is great in pigmentation. It does have fall out, so tap your brushes before applying. The shadows might crumbles a bit, but overall it is great.

The cream eyeshadow is excellent as a base. You have to apply enough to get the pigmentation, but do not over do it because it can cause creasing. Overal I still love it.

The liquid lipstick is ok for me, but better for my sister. My lips is just have a darker pink tone, so when I applied on I cannot see any pigment at all. However, on my siter's lips, it look peachy pinky and very natural. In addition, I feel that there should be more products in the twisty tube. I think I won't get a lot of use out of it.

The lip plump is excellent. I do have to tell you that it will not hurt nor plump your lips. However, it gives you a sensation of coolness. Like having toothpaste on you lips. It is minty too. I love the color. My mom was asking where I got it. The pigmentation is great. However, you do need to reapply through out the day.

The lipgloss spf 15 is a must. I think I got the best deal out of the product. There are more products in the tube. The gloss is not sticky, and great when light reflect on it. The color of my new one is so similar to my old one. I don't know why...

Alright the eye primer is the must have. I love love love it. I know that it is not as best as their mineral eye primer, but I still think it worth the money to try it. I test it out for 5 hours, and it work on my cheap eyeshadows. No creasing at all, but fade just a little bit.

Last but not least, the two brushes. What can I say??? They are excellent. How can you beat $1 brush with good quality. I know it is nothing compare to Mac or Sigma, but you cannot beat the price. I saw a lot of recommendation for this, so I must try it out. I love the eyeshadow brush. It can actually blend or apply shadow to the crease. The blending brush is truly great for the crease or above the crease. You can blend a medium color to make your look have more dimension. I have Asian eye, so it does not work well as a crease brush for me.

So this is all of the L.A colors eyeshadows that I owned. I bought it with my own money in Dollar Tree. It is not the best makeup, but it still ok to use.

L.A Colors - Slideshow

Overall, I think I will rate them about 7/10. Oddly, some color in each pallete is more pigmented than the others. Some are flaky and some do not have that much pigment. Especially the white one in the blue pallete. I do love their loose pigment though, they are so shimmery. However, I recomend you guys to use the elf cream eyeshadows for it to stick to.

Last but not least, the others products, let just say these are so random. I bought the crease brush from Target because I did not know when I can purchase elf, and yes it was cheap. However, I blame myself for washing the brush. I try to shape it back after I wash them, but it just lose its shape. It is not as taper as when I bought it.

As I said, the two pink brushes is from my mom, she does not wear eyeshadow, but do have brushes. I end up taking these two. It is what I been using before elf brushes. The eyeshadow brush can use as blending. The small one is just for detail work.

The Cover Girl Eyeslick gelcolor came as a pair from DT. I thought it would make a great eyeshadow base, but it does not. It did not blend easily. The orange one is really shimmery, but still hard to blend. It does not go on smoothly. I have to put a bit of pressure to glide it on. The purple one is just simply pigmented. I hate the packaging though because I cannot sharpen it. The pencil was too big. It is not twisty like NYX Jumbo pencil. And I tried to depot them after I took the picture, and oh no!! It was a disaster. Big OOOPPPSS!!

The H.I.P is just an nice creamy eyeliner. Well oviously, I believe it is above $7 for its price. My dad and I went to a Walgreen one day and just simply saw the clearance section with everything for 25cent. My dad bought a whole boxfull of stuff and which including some costmetic. I been using the brush in it. And I love it.

Hey everyone,

Well after two weeks of school, I finally got back on track. There are so much to do this semester, so I am really swimming in the big ocean and trying to get on land. Nah JK. Ok, so I truly have a lot on hands this semester. I will try to be on schedule with everything. Anywhos, let move on to the beauty stuff.

I want to do a big haul and a bit of reviews on the next post. Wonder what you guys think? I will do it, but I really have to see which way I should do them. Picture or Slideshow? I have to think about the arrangement of how to do this. It is my first time, so I need more time. In my haul, I will be talking about E.L.F products, L.A colors products, Wet n' Wild nail polishes, Sally Hansen nail polishes, Zoya nail polishes, and a mix of others makeup brands. Mostly, what I thought about them, their quality, and whether or not I will repurchase any of them.I got some of my items from giveaways and gifts. I purchased the rest of them. Oh also, I am not an expert about beauty products and I am not a makeup artist. I am just a begginers trying to give my thought on beauty products and how to save money on them. FYI, I have learned a lot from other beauty gurus and I am just trying to retell what I have learned to help who just starting out like me. What funny about me is I do not where makeup to school or anywhere. Mostly, just face moisturizer, and foundation for skin protection. That is all, but I do know a bit more about makeup products overall.

Hi everyone,

Today I start school for the Spring semester. I felt so tired. I woke up at around 7:00 a.m and out of the house at 7:30 to catch lightrail for a 9:00 a.m class. After that, I just have back to back classes. I have to say that going back to school making me super tired. I got so used to the whole Winter break. After I took a nap after school, I got the feeling of drownsiness. This semester I feel so lonely, I feel that everything bad coming to me. I am in the situation that I feel like Oh My God why am I so dumb for doing that. Classes are getting harder, I have no idea if I can handle this. Anyways, just to tell you guys that I will try my best to put up interesting post. I might do a haul soon because I finally order ELF!! Woo hoo that is something I am waiting for this weekend or next week.

A Lovely Project for those who Love Makeup! Valentine DAY Gift Idea

To those who love makeup and those who are craftsy....

I been loving this whole project tutorials from Enkoremakeup and EnKorinne from Youtube. The series was amazing and I truly felt in love with the idea.

For those who know about Urban Decay, one of their famous items is the Book of Shadows. I do not own any of them, but I really want to someday soon. Well, the newest Book of Shadows is inspired by ALice and Wonderland. I am in love with this pallete. All of their colors are just lovely. I truly truly want to get this pallete. I have heard a couple of reviews about this pallete and truly recommended everyone to get the Alice and Wonderland.

Well...Enkoremakeup and EnKorinne have came up with the idea to make their own Book of Shadows. It is called " Book of Colors 'EnKorinne in Flowerland.'" That is just an absolute awesome idea, isn't it? I waited until the end of the whole tutorials to write this post. I think we only need to put a bit of time and effort to make the perfect product. I am not sure how much this project cost. Because the materials needed really depend on what we already have at home. Such as recycled shipping boxes (Though I have none at home ;P). The eyeshadows can be varied in prices (You can pressed your own). The scrapbook papers is also cheap (Dollar Tree sell them in a pack of 6 papers). Most people have gluegun at home. And everyone must have a printer at home too.

So those who need Valentine Gift Idea, isn't it the best gift ever to give to someone special in your life?

Zoya Fun nails

Hey there,

I am having a big Winter Break from school, so I have some time at home to kinda play around. I was kinda bored and decided to do my nails. The idea was from ericaleung13 on Youtube ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvpxvukYT84 ). Please check her out...she is really cool. I seen this tutorial long time ago, but did not have any dark nail polish. Since I recieved the Zoya nail polish from Pursebuzz.com, the color remind me of the tutorials, so I went back to watch it. I don't have steady hand, so my tip for you guys is to use tape.
1. Cut a small strip of tape
2. Tape it diagnosely to your nails (Remember to apply the tape to the skin first if your tape is really sticky)
3. It is best to apply a base coat, so it will prevent staining of your nails.
4. The silver lines are from L.A color thin brush (I got a few of them at Dollar Tree. I don't know if it still in stock, you guys should check it out. Also I believe it is the cheapest price you can find for this nail polish.)
5. Do not have thin brush or nail art brush, use painting brushes or toothpicks (they are sure cheaper and can be use to apply any nail polish you owned)
6. Last but not least, be creative with the design and colors.

Happy New Year Everyone!

I cannot wait until a new year, which means a new start and new goals to achieve. I feel so happy during this holiday. I just want to post up a haul for what I got during Christmas. Well I did not get a lot, but I was very happy. I got my first flat iron from Chi. I am so glad I got it as a present from my favorite aunt. Thank You Bac Mi and Nhi!! I am so happy to get it. Woo hoo, there is one more thing to cross off my wishlist. Ha ha haha. I also recieve a necklace from my cousin. I think it is so pretty. I also got some cash to spent from my grandpa and grandma, plus my aunt too.
Oh I went to Las Vegas for the last four days, and it was a pretty fun trip. Sorry, but I cannot share the pics with you guys. One thing that made me really mad about the trip was the allergic reaction that I got after Christmas day. I really have no idea if I got food allergic or a reaction to my makeup products. I am just mad because I have no idea how I got it. Anyways, overall, I feel very fortunate.

I do not know if I have told you guys before, so I might repeat this again. Youtube is my favorite website. Not only you can go there for music, videos, and news, you can also go there for makeup product reviews, hauls, makeup tutorials, hair tutorials, and best of all Giveaways or Contests. I have to say whoever created the idea of giveaways on YT is so awesome. Woo hoo Finally Done with School!!

Hi everybody,

I am so glad that I am finish with school and officially have no more classes. Well, just for the winter break. I been so busy the last few days because of final and essay. I wish that I can come back to change my grade, but I guess it is too late. I am not doing that bad in school though. It is not straight As that is all. Oh well I am pretty excited about Christmas. This year it comes so much faster. I just had my birthday about two weeks ago. Now it is almost Christmas.

This year my family have not done any Christmas shopping at all. We are really on the budget because my dad does not work and my mom is only working part time. Well, not many of my family members buy present anyways. For a few years now, Christmas for our big family was just being together and having a great dinner.

This year I feel the urge to shop on E.L.F. If you guys do not know what it is, it is just a website that sell super super cheap makeup products, but with quality. I want it so bad because how can you beat makeup that is $1 and up. They do carried some of the more expensive products, but with their $1 line you will be crazily happy.I am still making my decision on what to buy though..ha ha

So about you guys...Are you done with school? How has your Christmas shopping been? Are you doing anything fun with friends and family? Are you going somewhere outside of you city or state? And how many presents have you recieved? Because for me I have none..Hoo hoo

"Baby It's Cold Outside!!"

Hi Everyone,

I got some time today, so I thought I should do a new post and may be some update on what is going on...

I am living in California right now, and it is getting so so so cold outside. I am inside my house for almost the whole day,but it is still crazily cold. It is so sad that the heater is broken. I have to layer on my clothes to keep myself warm. However, I just hate that my hand right now is freezzzzing. I feel so mad because putting on glove is just annoying. I cannot do anything with glove on. My hand is so cold, it is difficult to type on the laptop.

This week I got the whole week off,except on Monday, because final is next week. I suppose to study, but I am just feeling so lazy. I can get distracted easily, I have not get anything done for school. I cannot believe it, I have 2 big final papers to do, 1 smaller essay, and so many chapters to study for. I have done nothing. Oh I am such a procrastinator. (esp blogging right now)

I want school to be over already. I want to go shopping because there are many good deals out there. I wish to have more money to buy all of the things I have in mind. I am getting so addicted to makeup right now, I am always online to find good deals to buy. You cannot believe how much things I want. I don't even work, but I am becoming a shopaholic. I been looking for work, but I do not have any luck at all. You guys should check out your local Dollar Tree because they have famous drug store costmetic in stock. I just heard from another person that Rite Aid is having 75% clearance on some makeup products. (I hate myself for not driving. But makeup is only a part of what I want. I want this bundle sale of hair tools from a website. Then I want Konad nail art. There are so much more things. I am so greedy. ha ha ha

Umm let see what else, I am so excited because this year I got to go on a tour to Las Vegas during Christmas, or more like after Christmas day. I am looking forward to it, but I just hope that I will have fun.

Hi Everyone,

I just want to say Happy Thanksgiving to everyone here who have come and read my blog. Time past by so fast, now it is another year for Turkey Day. Ha ha. In my house, we never celebrate Thanksgiving on Thursday. It became the tradition for our family to celebrate Thanksgiving on Friday. This year, I will not be able to eat turkey from my aunt anymore. However, I am still thankful to be able to gather around with my big family and have a great dinner with each other. This year, I do not feel that excited for Thanksgiving. It might be because school is so stressful right now. There are so many things I need to do for school because it is all due on the Monday I come back. I am so tired, but I got to fight to do well in my classes. Is any of you going shopping on Black Friday? I want to, but not so sure where to go to save money. I see that not many stores are having big sale that will be worth to wait in line for. Ha ha ha. I want to see what I can buy online for CyberMonday.

Breast Cancer Awareness stride

Hi everyone,

I have always been interested in doing walkathons for the Breast Cancer Awareness organization. However, I never been to one since I never seen the event happen in the area I live in. Fortunately, I am proud to say that I am now a Breast Cancer supporter. On Halloween this year, at downtown in my city, I have joined my aunt team to do the Breast Cancer stride.

I feel very honor to do this because another aunt of mine is the victim of cancer. Even though she does not have breast cancer, I do feel sad, especially when she just passed away this past summer. She died of lung cancer. I have to proudly say that she is an amazing person. She have suffered a lot throughout her whole life. With half of her body nearly paralyzed,she still does not accept that she is handicap. And when she got cancer, she accepted it and still smile until her last breath.

I believed that we walk about 2 miles around downtown. I know it is not that much, but I do feel that everyone is making the difference in our community. Many women are suffering from breast cancer, and most Americans right now are victim of different types of cancer. I think if we are making small changes in our communities, we will make big differences to the whole world. There is nothing to lose, and so much to gain. Therefore, I would love to promote everyone to go out and help someone you know or a stranger you meet in the street. It will definitely give us a better world to live in.

Hello!!

How is everyone weekends? This is just a little update to let you guys know what I am doing. Well I am having my first exam for Microbiology. And oh no...I am so not ready yet. Ha ha ha. Well I been wanting to try out my luck by entering so many giveaways, I never won anything in my life except this one time. And it is just happened recently. I was so excited. Oh so kidish am I?

Well I also going to do service learning for a class in school, which is so cool. I got to work with children in preschool. Love it!!
